What does the price of a door/window includes?Complete casement structure with glass, operating hardware and latch. The price of the window or door does not include delivery, installation, masonry work, external and internal sills, skirts, roller shutter, insect net, Venetian blind, etc. In each case the prices of the accessories will be calculated on special request.
In which phase of flat renovation the replacement of door and window is to be performed? In the event of the replacement of door/window with demolition, perform the installation of the new door and window at least prior to the painting, gypsum plastering and tiling. In the event of the replacement of door/window without demolition, usually it's just the same.
In what time the work (replacement of door/window) will be completed?Important question! The period of manufacture from the date of the order will be different for each of our door/window products (from 2 to 6 weeks). You will find it in the detailed information on the actual door/window. Following the arrival of the door/window, an agreement is made on the date of installation and we will perform it on the earliest date approved by both parties. The period of the installation of the door/window depends on the amount of work and the accessories ordered; it will be one or two days for a complete family house, while 2 hours on the average for one window or door.
What should I expect during the completion of the replacement of doors/windows?Our colleagues arrive on the site between 8 and 9 a.m. Then the new window and door elements as well as the tools are taken in the working area. Demolition of the old door/window elements is started then the new doors/windows are installed. Later the insulation of the doors, windows, then the assembly of the sills, skirts are performed and roller shutter, insect net and Venetian blind are installed. After that the fine adjustment of the door, window and the handover/takeover procedure are carried out.
How should I prepare for the installation of doors/windows?In rooms concerned by the replacement of door/window, cover the objects to be protected from dust and the floor and empty the areas in front of the door/window in order that they are accessible. In areas where parking is difficult, provide a parking place prior to the arrival of the colleagues.
What will happen to the removed parts of door and windowAt your request, we will remove the old door and window elements free of charge.
What does the replacement of window without demolition mean?In the event of the replacement of the window without demolition (installation in casement) means that we install the new window in the casement of the old window, door (balcony) suitable for it. We insulate the joint between the old and new window, then cover the insulating layer with a plastic skirt. For this method of installation, there will be no subsequent masonry work necessary and it will be accompanied with much less dirt and disorder than the replacement of the door/window with demolition and installation. Its disadvantage is that we will receive glass surface smaller by several centimetres for this method of installation.
Does the installation of the door/window include masonry work that is aesthetical repair? No, but on request we will organise that a competent professional performs it.
Is masonry work necessary? In the event of the replacement of the window, door (balcony) without demolition (installation in casement) and for panel buildings, no masonry work will be necessary. Apart from several exceptions, it will be necessary in all other cases. We cannot undertake any masonry work but on request we can organise that the aesthetic repair is done within 1 or 2 days after the replacement of the door/window.
Why is masonry work necessary?During the replacement of the door/window, internal parts of the wall, covering may damage (depending on the condition). The repair of these damages will require masonry work. The external wall parts will usually remain undamaged. Owing to our special method of casement demolition, the damage of the wall around the door will be minimal in comparison with the possibility. It is important that the repair work will only be an aesthetical repair; we will hand over each window, door installed by us in insulated, adjusted condition so they will fulfil their function to 100% extent.
Why is it important how many air chambers the structure has?The number of the chambers shows how many air layers within the structure are used for the separation of the spaces (this value is a characteristic of the profile). This value may change from three to six. There are 2 chamber windows, too, but these are old, obsolete, rarely distributed structures. Number of chambers is important since the higher the number of the air chambers is the better its heat and sound insulation capacity as well as static feature is. The K(U) value for the 3 chamber structures is K(U)= from 1.5 to 2.0, while for the 5 chamber structures K(U)= from 1.1 to 1.4. Our 6 chamber structure can produce K(U)=1.1 in combination of casement/leaf-wing.
What is depth of installation?Depth of installation is a characteristic of the door/window profile; actually it means the thickness of the door/window profile. Usually it will increase with the number of the chambers. 3 chamber door/window structures have 60mm depth of installation, while 5 chamber 70mm and 6 chamber 80mm. In parallel with the increase of the depth of installation, the static feature, heat and sound insulation of the window and door will improve. |
